Library

The AMAA’s Avedisian School Library is 274 square meters. It is a place where students and teachers can browse through media periodicals, have discussions, or simply work and spend their free time quietly.

Our library is bright and spacious and incorporates a reading room to the back with a seating capacity of 40. Our school librarian is particularly trained in introducing the students to the world of books. She determines how we will raise strong readers in our school.

The most important aspect of our librarian’s work is the books that she presents to the student. If the choice of books offered helps the student in their daily work, provides a sense of fulfillment, cultivates astute thinking, and influences behavior positively, it will most certainly instill a love of reading and ensure that it will never fade.

Although our library archives are not extensive, the shelves are regularly replenished. Sometimes books are donated by our students, their parents, teachers, or given to us by sponsors. The library also has a book restoration and repair facility.

The librarian works alongside the annual program that includes commemorable dates, anniversaries of nationally recognized artists and writers, book discussions, and the staging of amateur theater performances.

Lectures on mentoring, education, and psychology are regularly presented for the parents in the school.

Such interaction between the students, teachers, parents, and the librarian makes the library a unique hub of culture and learning.
