The Khoren and Shooshanig Avedisian School and Community Center (AHS) has a job opening for the position of Teacher and Education Researcher.
AHS (www.avedisianschool.am) is an AMAA (www.amaa.am) funded, tuition-free K-12 school dedicated to educating children of all socio-economic backgrounds with priority given to the socially disadvantaged. Job Description
- Teach students in regular classrooms
- Research, prepare curricula and train teachers to help students grow in and develop non-academic life skills such as emotional intelligence, critical thinking, critical thinking, and building and maintaining healthy relationships.
Requirements
- Passion for education
- Thirty years old or older
- Master’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in the field of Education, including teaching
- Excellent knowledge of holistic education
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent Armenian language writing and editorial skills
- Excellent English language speaking and writing skills
- Effective communication and training skills
- Good command of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Positive attitude, honesty, dedication, desire for learning and growing
- Flexibility, adaptability and teamwork skills
- Diligence
- Ability to work under stress
- Ability to demonstrate a constructive attitude in tense situations
- Commitment to the values and principles of the AMAA (please see amaa.am)
