Մայիսի 31-ին Ավետիսյան դպրոց այցելեցին Բոստոնի Սուրբ Ստեփանոս դպրոցի 5-րդ դասարանի աշակերտները «Էյ Թի Փի»-ի բնապահպանական կրթական ծրագրի թիմի հետ: Նրանք Ավետիսյան դպրոցի 6-րդ դասարանի սաների հետ անցկացրեցին համատեղ դասընթաց «Անտառներ» թեմայով, որը վարում էր Նվարդ Գևորգյանը: Այնուհետև երեխաները, շրջելով դպրոցում, ծանոթացան դպրոցի պայմաններին և առօրյային:
Հանդիպումն ավարտվեց Աշտարակ քաղաքում նոր հիմնադրված հանրային այգում ծառատունկով` առաջնորդությամբ «Էյ Թի Փի»-ի աշխատակիցների, Սուրբ Ստեփանոս դպրոցի և Ավետիսյան դպրոցի ուսուցիչների:
Within the scope of the bridging program the 5th grade learners of the St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School located in Boston together with the ATP (Armenian Tree Project) staff visited the Khoren & Shooshanig Avedisian School & Community Center on May 31. The St. Stephen’s 5th graders had a joint class with the Avedisian 6th graders on the topic “Forests” which was conducted by NvardGevorgyan. Afterwards the guest students had a guide tour around the school getting acquainted with the school routine and conditions.
The meeting ended with a joint tree planting in a newly founded public park in Ashtarak town which was led by the ATP staff and the teachers of the St Stephen’s and the Avedisian schools.
